i honestly didn't expect to love this many songs off of of panic at the disco's latest album. bold=love. even though it's not the circus-esque sound of A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, it's still all very catchy, and not to mention different. it's refreshing for a band who made their name with one sound, to go in a different direction. bands will not stay the same forever. bands will not stay the same forever. hell, it's so true it needs to be said a third time, 'cause third time's the charm: bands will not stay the same forever, no matter how much you want them to-- music or personality wise.
Pretty.Odd. is a sweet break from the sounds of Fever with it's electronic/computer sounds which can most definitely be found in a lot of music today, which makes Pretty.Odd. that much more better. Ryro was most definitely inspired by The Beatles. who can blame him? The Beatles are incredibly amazing. i wish i could have lived during the time of their glory. but, i'll have to settle for having grown up in the 90s and take advantage and pride in that.
when pete said the new album was amazing, i had a feeling i'd enjoy it. somehow he's got a knack for being right about these things. also, ryan does some vocals on the album! pretty.sweet. [sorry, i had to] singer if you ask me. even though brendon's vocals are delicious as it is, adding ryan just enhances the sound.
the more you listen to this album, the less it sounds like what you know of the beatles and more like a panic at the disco progression.
